A Long Obedience

I think this is one of my new favorite quotes: "Friar Pat is our homeboy." LOL! That's hilarious! Thanks for sharing, Kev.
According to their web site: Catholic campus ministry began at UIC, formerly called University of Illinois Chicago Circle, in the spring of 1967 with the help of the visionary Cardinal Cody. He inspired the building of the present John Paul II Newman Center to provide a setting where Catholics at UIC could nurture their spiritual development.
To get that kind of presence on a secular college campus (though a 60% catholic population) is quite amazing.
If you ask me, Cardinal Cody is my homeboy. Where can I get a t-shirt???
